The difference between being forgetful and Alzheimer is that the latter interferes with everyday life such that the person is not able to function normally e.g. not being able to find his way home / not remembering whether he has eaten or not.  It is advisable to go for a medical assessment.  Early treatment can slow down the progress of the disease.

my dad has no problem with coming home.. it usually happens only when he has to go friends' homes (which he has gone for numerous times already).  even simple things, my mum ask him to go downstairs minimart to help buy only 3, 4 items.. he must write down on a piece of paper.  sometimes if he can't find the things, he'd ask the staff.. they just tell him, "sorry, busy.  you find yourself."  he always come hm frustrated.

he has to take his high blood pressure medicine everyday.. and each time after he take, he'd put a tick on the date, (afternoon or dinner), etc...

k, thanks all!  think i'd bring him to see over the weekend.  also want to get him to mingle more around with pple.
