27 working days later, we have seen tremendous progress done at site. Comparing our first picture taken on the 2nd. April with the first picture taken today, the reinforce concrete floor had been completed on the third level.
The complete store / bomb shelter was also installed.
The second picture taken on 2nd April, had only the concrete beam footings done up on the piling system. The ground was still filled up with hardcore and sand.
Today’s picture shows the reinforce concrete floor at ground level had been laid and workers are putting up reinforcements for structural columns. Steel formworks are erected, some ready for concreting. Metal scaffoldings are installed progressively along the peripheral of the block.
The last picture taken on 2nd April does’nt have much activities going on. Today the whole stretch of land running close to the next building site at the far end ( Punggol Spring ) are buzzing with activities.

The first block along the LRT track ( Oasis station ) reached it's fourth level of construction. Most of the front facial slabs with window frames are up. In fact there are many more such slabs on the ground ready for installation.
The reinforced concrete floor slabs had been laid. Overhead tower cranes are busy lifting steel bars for steel-benders to fabricate columns.

The second block along the track, workers are busy laying BRC's for floor slab. Most of the reinforcement work on beams are completed, some are receiving it's final touches.
Scaffolds along the perimeter of the entire floor area with green safety nets are install for the safety of workers.

The third block reinforced concrete floor slabs done. Steel reinforcements for the entire block columns erected.
The next stage, steel prefabricated formworks will enclosed each column ready for concreting. Before enclosing, steel fabrication work had to be inspected by HDB's structural engineers conforming to drawings and specifications.
Once the building is on it's second level, work will be speeded up due to standard construction methods and fabrication.

For general knowledge and educational purposes, lets see how our prefabricated units are put together.
Normally, building units are prefabricated in the factory, marked, transported by trailers to the building construction site and stored near to places within reach of the overhead tower crane.
This picture shows the lifting of the whole store by the overhead tower crane. It is then put in position, aligned, strutted, inspected and finally cemented.

Non load bearing wall panels are lifted in a similar manner.

The following pictures show how non load bearing panels are done in a similar way.
All prefabricated units are store in areas around the block within reach by the overhead tower crane for lifting.

For easy reading and it's location, let's put in the block numbers as we progress.
