That's why I will not rely on my children next time. I know if they grow up in Singapore, no savings at all.

BTW, if you are a housewife, how to give money to parents? Poor husband leh....
I believe it's a matter of how u manage yr finances irregardless of single or double income..just live within yr means lor...I came to know of some sinkies who can afford luxuries but cannot afford to give a little bit of allowance to their parents every month...Furthermore, the allowance may not necessary be a big sum..for those who can afford they can give more, otherwise a small token of gratitude is sufficient to show tat u care to share...Remember a saying : a little can meant so much sometimes...
I am not saying tat we shld rely on our children for money...but rather it shld be our duty to look after our parents needs when we r grown up.. Smiley

One that I know even asked her mum to wash her clothes for her as usual, and offered to give her S$10, when her mum said that her clothes are hard to wash, don't always wear/ change so many clothes. Speechless man.

Not S$10, but S$100. Typo error.

One thing I realised is that most people would like to apply for credit cards. One that I know have debts over 17k from army days. Until now still have to pay for it, S$400+ monthly. Wonder when will he be able to settle it. Interest is already 1/2 of it. Sigh ..
