Should go for consider 2nd opinion. Don't stick to one doctor. (Don't go to New Changi Hospital for consultation.) Hope your child will quickly recover. take care. God bless.

thanks for all your concern. a child so young 16mths,having to go thru all these is so heartbreaking. no cough,no running nose, no sore throat, just fever. she's so terrified of taking medication, every time she sees the syringe she starts crying.

today is the 6th day.so far in the day time we've been giving her panadol to control her temperature. so scary, miss one dose only her temp will shoot up so high....so often its over 40 that i'm so scared to take her temp. will continue to monitor her and see if tomorrow will get better

thanks once again

you may want to consider Dr Koh of Singapore Baby & Chlid clinic at 64568874 Ang Mo Kio Blk 726. boy was coughing and we were self medicating. when cough continue brought him to see Dr Koh and realise infection spread to ear. take care

Girls are more prone to urinary tract infection (UTI), sometimes no other symptoms except high fever, or pain in passing urine. If the child wears diapers, the urine in the diapers smell like poo. If it is UTI (bacteria infection), need to be on antibiotics to get it treated. If not treated, may lead to kidney problems. My eldest daughter had that when she was only 6mths and 9 mths. Went thru alot of testing in KK to make sure no back flow of urine, no scarring of kidneys - very heartbreaking to go thru all the tests!
After that experience, whenever my kids poo, I wash the bums well, even when we were out - mastered the art of washing bums at the sink - that's after cleaning with wipes!
