Helloo Pavilion8616..

My boy follows me back to the office almost everyday. If my mum has the time, she will
help me at least twice a week.

How old is your child? Where is he/she schooling?

Can I check if anyone knows abt Edgefield? What is the style of this school?  Lots of HW and pressure? Even for newly P1 children?  I just reg my son there...ohoh...

Hi, it's not true that Edgefield gives a lot of Homework. Let's face it even if school does not provide any homework we typical Kiasu Parent will still give our children mountain of assessment or maybe even multiple tuition classes for some parents.
The regular homework will be like spelling (English & Mandarin) once a week, in which they will need to study.

There will be some homework given on Friday but it's not too much till the extent that your child couldn't cope.

Don't worry P1 is not given so much during term 1 as the children needs to get familiar with the classmates, school environment... etc.

I was also an ex-pupil from Mee Toh School in 06. I think that primary 1 does not have any homework its not a matter as they could have find bored before going home n they wanted to do their homework in class so that they can have more time at home to do they favourite things. Besides, their parents would also find time to ensure they child to do revision for they class test, mock exams etc. So if they parents bought assemment books for them and the kids does they weekly revision, it should not be a problem. But problem comes when they slack over board and the parents had no choice but to force them to sit down with them and do their revison with them, to ensure they do not slack too much and do up their revisons. Teachers would give them homework, reasons is simple, they are afraid that when the are at home, they would not do them work and hence giving them homework is a form of revision which is good n we should thanks the teacher for the hard work.
