Good Gyne at Punggol?

She did not even want to discuss her package with me when I consulted her in 2003 - said I was pregnant but couldn't find my baby! Arranged for me to go for surgery the following week to get the sac out! I understand and heard from her assistant that she is caring, not out to just earn patients' money etc but my experience was horrid and I went thru 24hrs crying for my unborn. My daughter is 3 years old. Her birthday is tomorrow. Because of Dr Chen, my youngest will always be so special to us because we almost lost her! Anyway, I'll probably bring my daughter to visit her one day to tell her how wrong she was and I would like an apology from her so that I can close this chapter of my life.

Sorry to hear of your bad ex... How many weeks were you then?
For me, I had a miscarriage. We went to see her when I was 4 weeks but the egg didn't implant properly and I just bled out in the 5th week. She responded quite fast to our needs and was certainly very caring.

According to my last mens, I was supposed to be 5 wks pregnant but I kept telling her that I do not have regular period, so the calculation may not be accurate. She said the size of my sac for the baby was big enough and she should be able to detect my baby with her ultra sound machine - thus concluded so confidently that it was a bad pregnancy and arranged for me to abort. I asked should I wait, she said I could but I may bleed naturally and profusely, so arranged surgery is better for the mother. I also had to ask her whether should I wait and get a second ultra sound. Only then did she agree and arranged for another ultra sound - 1 day before the surgery. I asked about her package but she said let's not talk about that now. The scary thing is that she was so certain of this bad pregnancy and I almost took her for her word. Maybe she had many of such experiences and thus, appeared very cold and unfeeling towards me. I got a second opinion in KK, my friend's gynae actually waited for me when her shift was over and attended to me personally. She found my baby hiding in a corner with strong heartbeat! That was 30hrs after the visit to Dr Chen. I called her clinic back to cancel my appointment and told her assistant about my experience but the Dr herself did not get back to me at all. Maybe her assistant did not inform her - that's why I thought I should let her know personally. She may be very good, caring etc but my only experience with her was traumatising.

Well, my daughter is growing fine and she's such a joy! That's what really matters.

My Gyne is in TMC. But I'd the same experience . Couldn't find the baby at 4th week, the following 5th week miscarriage. Strange hor....how come couldn't see the baby? But pregnancy test was positive leh.... God's will not to have that child. But the following year I'd my boy, 5 now.

Can anyone tell me more about Dr Chen CY gynae in Punggol?

Went to her before. Think she is quite good if you're looking for a gynae in punggol... she is quite professional and compassionate. Her bedside manner was excellent. Very caring and understanding indeed... Called her at ard midnight before and she was very accomodative...

Think her first consult is $80 and subsequent visit is $50. Includes ultrasound... I think she is attached with Mt Alvernia and quite reasonable...

Check her out... think she is quite easy gg... esp convenient if you're looking for someone in punggol.

Called her at midnight = most docs/gynes have a calling service (telephone number) that they will give you to call outside office hours so that if you hv an emergency, you can call them and they will respond... hee...sometimes contractions do happen at midnight...

We had some problems with pregnancy late at night and we called her calling service. She called back within 5 mins and gave instructions of what to do and made an appt immediately next morning. Wasn't irritated that we called at a very late hour (almost midnight).... and she didn't charge (bill) for her time spent the previous night.
