How to spot Dementia signs in the elderly relatives.

1. Recently learnt information are forgotten.
2. Face difficulties in making phone calls.
3. Forget simple words, their speeches were hard to understand.
4.Getting lost in the neignbourhood.
5. Does'nt know date and time, confused about morning, afternoon and night.
6. Misplace things in the home.
7. Having sudden mood swings, imagine things, suspicion, paranoia, hallucinations.

Early detection can prevent further degeneration.

Caregivers Week.

The Asian Women's Welfare Association Centre for caregivers will be launching Caregivers week from 25 Oct. to 1 Nov. 2008 . A two day caregivers fair will be held on 25 oct. and 26 oct. 2008 at HDB Hub Mall in Toa Payoh.

The purpose of the exhibition is to raise public awareness and interest on caregiving issues.
