Don't be surprise this year Mee Toh and Edgefield are reducing their P1 intakes. This is because all the primary schools are preparing for single-session in 3-4 yrs' time. Their buildings are too small that they can't accomodate many students in single session.

That's also the reason many new primary schools are opening up.

My prediction, Mee Toh and Edgefield will be balloting. Greendale will continue new intakes. You can start surfing the MOE websites in June/July.

If the PR1 intake through balloting ... not sure how many place left for our kid that is really need who stay in punggol ?
So do you strongly recommend go volunteer to these Mee Toh , Edgefield?

it is up to individual to judge whether the school is worth to do volunteer work. I know coveted schools such as Raffles, Nanyang, SCGC,etc, parents are really go all the way to pull the strings.

Hmmm....i think we have to go to the school open house.   From many feedback, most parents recommended Pasir Ris Primary.  They do not have exams in Pri 1.  Not sure which level they have exams.  They implemented it before MOE recommended no exams suggesstions to schools.   The students scores well in PSLE and many go to top secondary school.   Anyone has their kids there?
