Attack in Orchard carpark takes manager by surprise, suspect taken away by US Navy Police. Shocked

As reported in our local press few days earlier, A communications manager was looking for a parking lot at an open air carpark next to Wheelock Place on Friday night when someone suddenly banged on the back of his car. Huh?

Puzzled, he got out, only to be punched in the face and slammed twice onto two cars by an American sailor reeking of alcohol. Angry

The assult left him with a facial wound which needed four stitches, internal bleeding in his left eye and cuts on his nose.

Before this incident, the drunken american sailor was seen disturbing others in the carpark. Locked himself in a parked car, refused to get out till he had to be pulled out by workers from a nearby Pub. Later the Singaporean was taken to hospital and the american sailor taken away by the American Navy Police.  oops

It was reported the suspect was taken away by officers from the Naval Criminal Investigation Service ( NCIS), a group of law enforcement officers who protect members of the United States Navy and Marine Corps. Angry

Our main concern in this case is.............WHY the drunken sailor was not dealth with by our Singapore Police ? WHY the drunken sailor is under the jurisdiction of the American Naval Unit, when the offence is committed in Singapore ?

Will the drunken sailor be convicted ?  Will the results be published ? Will our fellow Singaporean victim going to have  a fair trial and be compensated ?

I can only say one thing about our Police Force. It is a useless 'force' with many NS guys serving in it. They can't compare to that of the Hongkong police or even more NYPD or LAPD. They are a useless bunch and yet we are paying taxes to upkeep these buggars. No standard lah. Blame it on our Govt. The police force has less powers then it use to have. And they got a cheek to tell us to be vigilant when they are sleeping half the time. They are only good and strong when they are in mega strength during road blocks That is basically what they only do these days isn't it? Damn waste of time.

with so many foreigners from all sort of countries with all sorts of behaviours. I don't feel safe walking on the street during daylight anymore. Even in the shopping centre also has the same feeling.

Just walking through the closed Republic foodcourt during 2nd day LNY, there were 2 PRC men working there holding 2 can drinks. They followed us and asked us to buy that 2 can drinks as they didn't have money. Still have the cheek to say that they are Christians attending church.

We ran off.

Recently Strait Times reporting 'Handicapped Beggars' mostly PRCs, also another cheaters .

I don't think the Police Force is doing good job.
