I'm looking for weekend or weekday playgroups for my 2+ yr old to go to also.
So far, I've called Meridian/Coral RC (Punggol) for their tiny tots classes. They cost $330 per semester (10wks). Classes are for 1.5hrs from Mon-Fri.
I think the premises is used for karaoke in the evenings (not confirmed, have not checked out yet). Not very comfortable with that though.
Tumbletots RightStart I class at Punggol Plaza has a dedicated environment but they cost $675 per semester. Classes are for 2hrs from mon-fri.
How did the trial class at Pat's school house go? I heard that it's supposedly good but it's very expensive.
I wonder if childcare centres have playgroups also.
Pat's not too bad, environment is rather old but the teacher has gd rapport with the kids. cirriculum consist of free play, storytelling, music & movement, art n craft and outdoor play. I checked with several others and all seems to offer about the same cirruculum. Others offering weekend classes are MMI Kovan Centre, Growing Up Gifted (United Sq, GUG)..Called up many childcare centres but they provide only for weekday playgroup. Fees are steeper for Pats and GUG. Pats is charging $315 for 10 lessons, 1.5hr each. I am not sure about Tumbletots, do they focus more on movement n motor skills?
If u wish to settle for weekday, the choices are plentiful, depends very much on which centre/ teachers your child is more comfortable with. Choices for weekend is rather limited, esp at the northeast area.
MMI Kovan is running an Open House this Saturday (10 Mar) from 10am-1pm. I should be dropping by to have a look and should be settling between MMI or Pats since I do not wish to travel too far.
