Hi, Ulcer in the mouth means he really can't eat solid food. Boil some porridge (with lots of water) and let it cool then feed him. Let him have glucose water for energy and lots of rest.

LOTS OF WATER, LOTS OF REST and MEDICATION for fever if he has.

It usually takes 7~10 days for him to recover.

You've to take some precaution - frequent handwashing; disinfection of contaminated surfaces by household cleaners. Exclude your child from child care programs, schools, or other group activities. Do not share utensils and clean shared table or chair....etc. No hugging, no kissing.

You're pregnant so it would be best if you can get someone to help you look after him.

welcome to motherhood. My kids have HFM twice in their pre-school. It's normal for the kid to lost weight since they can't really eat. If he scratch then it would be better to keep him in the cool room (air condition but well ventilated).

Not to worry about him having some sort of "problem" every month. Boys are Boys.. My son used to have "problem" every month till he enter primary school. He even broke his arm once trying to kill an ant. He fell from a 1m slide and probably didn't land properly. Even when he comb his hair and his eye can be injured by the comb and we've to sent him to see an eye specialise.

Even now at 7yr, he still get injure now and then.
