If cannot compromise then better don't get pregnant... later more problems. Unless both parties willing to share responsibility and give each other space, else if it's just the mothers' duties then better off being just a couple. At least a DINK (Double Income No Kid).
Agree. In general, the men are always very willing and agreeable to share responsibilities but tis will make way for their stress la, tired la, busy at work la other etc. I have frds who are grumbled that their husbands always 做月 during weekends and leave them sending the kids to enrichment classes themselves.

Having children is a happy thing. It will not rob your lifestyle but changes to be more fulfilling. I nvr regret a single moment for having a Bb. I always looked forward going home every evening, knowing tat he is at home waiting for me.
