Deposit forfeited and non-transferable

Currently, in the process of registering my child to full day a child care center for year 08.  Was told to pay, registration, insurance, deposit (before gov subsides), uniform (min 2 sets), mattress, advance sch fee totaling of $1,160 before end Nov 07.

Still duno whether my child can adapt to the center as she have been only to play group for 1 ½ hrs only.  How to ensure she is suitable for the child care full day or half day? How to ensure paid amount will not be foreited?  School starts in Year 08 and already asked to pay so much by end Nov 07.  Even trial period also have to pay +- similar deposit.

to minimise further loss of money, have to let the child adapt to the environment not changing the environment to suit the child.

at least 3 mths to adapt and to break-even.
