Issue?? My consideration is what suit the kids personality, characteristics and if there's a real need for it.

To me, every enrichment and education has it  own advantages and every pre-school has it's own vision and goals and not one would totally give a wholesome brain developement as what really goes inside the human brain is still a very unknown.

Abacus that my kids attend are recommended from the school and they attend it the school premise.

Premium does not always buy you the best brain...; ) Both my kids attended the so called "Elite" Pre-school along Halifax Road since 18 months but nothing beat me staying home educating them.

As I mentioned early - TO EACH HIS OWN.

since already investing in time, why not top up a little bit of money go for long-term achievement instead.

Why invest whereby calculators and computers can do the job?

Couldn't agree more - nothing beats me staying home educating my 3 kids!

Having said that, I also don't see the need to attend abacus class - to each his own preference! I've tried but came to the conclusion that it is just one of the ways to learn Mathematics - won't lose out if don't know this skill.

For those who can afford the so called premium enrichment programme, just a word of caution - pls don't overstress your kids with all these enrichment programmes, more doesn't mean better if the kids need to rush from one prog to another and no chance to enjoy their childhood. Just my 2 cents worth of comment:)
