Yesterday workers have started repairing 601C's
16th floor ceiling.  I saw alot of activities up there.

Apparently the 14th and 15th did suffer slight damages too.
The steel shorings at the celings I saw were used to support
the repair works until it 'dries' up.  16th floor ceiling took the
biggest impact of the crane boom part's crash.

Was told at site once these repairs are done, and completely
tested - construction completion should be in

3rd quarter 2010 (within July - Sept 2010).

It was drizzling at Punggol Vista site.  Not much
activity over there as it was dinner time I think.

Anyway the good news is the windows
at Block 601C have been installed.  It is starting tolook
better.  The repair work at the 16th floor is still ongoing.
So is the reconstruction of the slightly damaged
roof  clapping

They have started painting the darker
grey colors for the remaining part of the exterior walls.

They stopped painting when it rained.

The classic white, grey and brown colors of  Vista
should stand out very well against the other flashy
blocks opposite  thumbs up

Once again, looking at the construction progress so
far, I am confident Kay Lim is on schedule to
hand over blocks 601C and D to HDB in early 3rd quarter.

And maybe beginning of 4th quarter for the other remaining
blocks. cheers

I just checked HDB MyHDBpage .

There is a revision of completion date and keys handover.
It used to be first quarter 2011.  Now its been changed,.

"The Probable Completion Date of your new flat is 4th Quarter 2010.
HDB will invite you to take possession of the flat when the construction of the
flat is completed."

Which also means slightly earlier than 4th quarter for 601C/D  clapping clapping clapping clapping

I visited Punggol and noted that  601C narrow side wall
(facing Punggol Secondary School) is left unpainted.
because the repair on 16th floor ceiling and
the damaged roof is still ongoing.

I think it should finish by 2nd week May 2010.

Other than the above issue, Block 601C construction looks 90% completed.
I noted even the racks outside the utility balcony has been fixed.

I was told when when the lights go on in that building - construction is completed.

Overall, I can see construction is making good progress. clapping

So, hang on to your hats - get ready for a surprise like earlier key collection
dates for blk 601 C/D   Grin
