hey there claydol

Thank you. it make  tremendous difference for someone to know and care about ones religion and culture dos and dont, cans and cannots. Of course i totally agrre with you about dogs and human co-existing peacefully. But then again it depends on the owners responsibilities. cant expect the dogs to be the one to take charge right??.. Thank you again for understanding our plight... i have kids who love to play.. kids being kids, but if the common area is tainted by dog poos and the playgrounds smeared with dogs urine or saliva, how, and where can they play. And the thought of my kids playing in the common area and big dogs as tall as them with big sharp fangs running freely amongst them just does not seem right to me. They may be tame and friendly but no one knows whats going thru their(the dogs) mind am i right. So rather than take chances, please i urge these dog owners, use those leash. i am not one to complain to authority because, i understand that these owners might have had that dogs for ages so loosing them is like loosing someone they love so just be more responsible and everything will be fine. Thank you again to anyone that reads this inputs of mine.

So i guess rusher has a dog and i am very sure of it...... i said the common area, the playgroud are for human use and not for the dogs... did i said the whole earth is for human only??? use your eyes and brains when replying rusher..... i specifically said there are dog runs around singapore that you can bring your dogs and let them run free... not the common hdb area and playground.. i repeat myself again use your eyes and brains when replying.. lets not get personal... its a solution that we want not more troubles. the last thing i want is a confrontation between us neighbours. God created humans and animals and all other living things on this earth for a reason. Who am i to say that this earth is for human use only, well I DID NOT GIVE that statement, you did. And as for the humans that attacked animals, report them to the SPCA and see what happen? they either get a heafty fine or at least a few days in jail, and mind you jail is not a place where you want to be am i right? So human on a leash if they attack an animal,??? could we say it is almost alike, a human lock up in a cage(prison) as to leashing a human?? Mmmmm i wonder.
Hey rusher lets not get personal k. i am merely giving my opinion because of my bad experiences with dog owners around my neighbourhood.
i do apologize if i have offended you, rusher or anyone else here.

nurzai, any area outside of our residence is considered common area / public area.  so, do you mean our pet dogs should always be kept indoor and the only place they could step on is the few miserable dog runs in singapore?  they should not even be seen in parks and gardens?  all dog owners should be responsible enough to leash their dogs, especially big dogs and i totally agree with that. i never said it is right to unleash dogs and let them run free in common areas!  so, please use your brain and eye when replying - you were the one who started condemning dog owners to use their brains and not their asses to think!
i apologize if i have offended you, or anyone else here.

If you think a dog offleash is offensive and wrong, couldn't you have approached the owner and requested him to leash his dog?

The moment has passed and you haven't achieved much by posting here. The owner of the big dog may still leave his dog unleashed. Is it fair to condemn all other dog owners because of one person?

I own a dog and I have a 3 year old son, so trust me when I say that an untrained, unsocialised kid can be just as irritating and offensive as an untrained, unsocialised animal.

Don't generalise and condemn all dog owners of Punggol. Not all of them are irresponsible.
At the same time, don't go around protecting all the kids of Punggol. Not all of them are innocent, kind and nice.
