Not easy.
As we all know, once there is GE, all the freebies, this off$et package, that off$et package are all given.
I guess the only way to get out of this is to migrate.
Else, generations after generations, we will all be in this trap.

The current ERP rates contradicts with spending more time with family.

Thus, means go work early, then after work don't go home first.
So while waiting for the end of ERP, perhaps can go drinking places to pickup someone, have a quickie and then go home. haha..

Really WTF !

Public transport operators are expected to submit their applications for a fare review in August.

The council will decide on the actual adjustment in September, and the new fares will start in October. - CNA/vm

Public transport increase due to petrol, daily necessities increase due to petrol, school transport fee increase due to petrol, shouldn't our pay increase due to petrol too. Since our daily trip to work & lunch has increased too.

Most companies are increasing cost of their products/services to cover their 'loss' or make higher profits and take advantage of these tough times. So shouldn't employees enjoy their share too?

We're also part of the same cycle: petrol -> employer -> transport -> food -> employee -> petrol.....

I think this year the minister will get more bonuses.  They earn so much $$$ from ERP, HDB public housing loan and prices, GST, increase oil tax taking, increase in utilities etc.   Probably they getting ard 36-42 months bonus.
