Do you think poor people can turn themselves to old folks home if they don't have enough CPF to see them thru their golden years ?

Old Folk home is expensive. These ppl earn how much only no CPF. Everyday to them more like a hand to mouth situation. Welfare home more likely to home those poor ppl.  It more like a SPCA to me where those poor unwanted ppl left behind. To most of these poor ppl usually they know they can't ask for more so resign to fate. Sign. I hope I have enough buffer to see thru my golden year.

I don't know...got many investment consultants come telling me that we better invest in bonds / insurance now because at the current rate of saving, you might not have enough to see thru your golden years. A lot of financial consultants are out there telling people these....

From the look of the current rate of increase in costs, I think their words are becoming very real ! Think the next 20 - 30 years down the road....maybe a cup of coffee will cost S$5 !
