On most Sundays, groups of Ministers / Mps were on their rounds again in Market Places around Singapore. Shaking hands and wishing residents good health in wet markets, hawker centres and busy bus interchanges.

In the last GE, everybody seems to be in a jovial, carnival, holiday mood, attending rallies especially when the opposition speaks. Ms Lim of the Worker's Party seems to be popular and a crowd puller.

The hottest contested seat in the last GE was in the Aljunied GRC. Will this ward still be the same hot seat ? Jeyaratnum was no more, but this time round, with his son taking over, will he perform better than his father ?

Potong Pasir Mr Chiam will be contesting in the Bishan -Toa Payoh GRC, Mrs Chiam will represent Potong Pasir. Can she retain Potong Pasir ? Will Potong Pasir be absorbed into Bishan-Toh Payoh GRC. Anything can happen........

Lets wait and see.

Election Department appointed logistics contractors to visit various polling stations in Schools since begining of September 2010.

The purpose of the visit is to locate / prepare the centres for the coming General Elections.

Seems like the GE is drawing nearer.

Singapore's next General Elections is due on February 2012, but should be called much earlier as in previous GE's.

Unlikely to take place this year.

More likely closer towards end of 2011.

Next GE is not due until 2012.

I think there are still a few nagging
negative sensitives affecting Singaporeans.

And until our good and clean Government further
assures Singaporeans over these issues
- affecting some "complain-king" Singaporeans -  I dont think
PAP is in a hurry to hold the GE anytime
sooner.

Of course, I could be wrong Grin

At this typical moment, probably the enviroment is not conducive. There are still a lot of issues, Singaporeans are not happy with and can be seen and felt in our daily activities.

1. The influx of FOREIGNERS. Among three of us, one is a foreigner. In all there are about 1.5 million of them in our tiny red dot.

What did they do ? They cloud our buses, trains, hawker centres, shopping centres, places of interest, polyclinics, hospitals, practically whatever Singaporeans are doing, they are behind us.

2. HDB flats. They are also buying flats.......so much so that Singaporeans who plan to get married had to wait because they could'nt  find a roof over their head on time to tie the knot.

3. Standard of living . On the rise.....

4. Workplace competition . Competing with locals for job opportunities.

and the list never ends..........
