There are many spaces in multi-storey car parks (blk 107) near where i live. I believe if the planners actually plan so many car parks, it would mean they actually cater for more cars in Punggol.

It is always the peak hours jam which causes one to think Punggol is flooded with cars.

If so, they better expand the Punggol Field from a 2-lane road to a 3-lane road...

I do agree that the roads should be widen. But with the poor planning, how do they increase the space now?  Huh?

now the main bulk of the activity lies along punggol field hence the no of cars. i believe more cars would divert to the wider punggol central rd when there is more "happening" there... eg petrol station, shopping, coffeeshop etc.

maybe when the town centre is built, cars wud be there instead?   but that could be 10yrs later..

It can be done. Just put "Road works" signage and then more traffic jam while upgrading from 2 to 3 lanes in the interim period : )

Honestly, if can afford to buy a car for ease of transport, why cannot pay slightly more petrol to travel slightly further up to the next exit at sengkang east road? why do cars have to wait in line to squeeze thru the tiny 2 lane exit?? baffled....

2 to 3 lanes will also probably encourage more cars using the roads. It would not solve the issue.
