My husband and I have been staying in Punggol almost three years. We love Punggol and the neighbours. We are proud being Punggol residents. However, one unfortunate incident really made us upset and we hope some justice can be done.

Last Friday 2 July 2010 around 11.55pm, my husband was walking our dog at Blk 637C 6th floor roof garden. Another resident, Mr Tan Choon Hong, allowed his unleashed dog run at the roof garden and attacked my dog with bad injuries. My dog 's ear was badly torn and a bite wound on her neck. We then rushed our dog to Mt Pleasant animal hospital. Her wounds had to be stitched and total bill $957.05.

Upon return from vet, we called Mr Tan but he refused to be responsible for the bill and incident. We told him the serious consequences of not having his dog leashed in public but he simply ignored our words and told us to go ahead with the report.

It's not the first time this resident let his dog go unleashed in public. His dog tried to attack my dog the other time but luckily no one was hurt then.I did warned him that time to leash his dog since he can't control his own dog.

Despite being warned, he still let his dog roam unleashed in public.
With such irresponsible dog owner, he's giving us dog owners a bad name and it may not be so lucky next time. His dog could have attack other dogs or small kids.

We have since made a report to AVA and police and also the media regarding this matter.Hope some justice can be done to ensure this imatter to be dealt with seriously. It's fortunate my husband is unhurt and my poor dog is recuperating but her ear may need to be amputated if it does not heal well.

Both my husband , I and my dog are badly traumatised by this incident.

I really hope the authorities will take action against this guy. There is also a lady who has 2 dogs which she walks unleashed at the rooftop garden at my side. One of her dogs loves to bark and chase my dog too but have yet to attack him. My husband has warned her off but she never takes heed. Best part is, she never pick up any poo left behind by her dogs. So good luck.

we have also seen more & more dog poo at our roof garden. There are notices al over telling dog owners to pick up their dog poo but it seems these dog owners simply heck care.Again, these inconsiderate dog owners are giving other dog owners bad name! We ever encountered residents who gave us that stare when they saw poo on the floor which does not belong to our dog.
