Why build petrol station near block of flats?

Hey People

The fact is Punggol is quite densely populated (just look how close if one block to another) and I think if they are putting SPC station there, it is also purely for economical reasons because it is easily assessible.

But I wonder if there is any rational to be built opposite the school...

in Bt Batok, Mobil station was built in front of Sec Sch .

Even in West Coast I came from, the Esso station is between residential blocks.

Think the controversial comes from the recent ruling of make in view of terrorism. The old estates or even sengkang dun apply cos we cant expect the stations to wind up their biz. Then for new estate like us, the ruling shd apply. Thus I am really puzzled y SPC is allowed to operate.
