Having 6.5 million people on a 700 sq. km of land area.
Each person can only stand on 0.0001 sq. km of land spaces. Deducting land areas for reservoirs, roads, playground, HDB flats, shopping centres, schools, universities, etc that will be much much less.
a couple of hundred feet ?? Probably.
But remember, people on the top may be different, they are housed in wooded areas in popular districts where people do not concentrate. Even if the population goes beyond 6.5 it does'nt matter.
Besides manufacturing, a large portion of workers are engaged in building HDB flats, Hotels and tourist attractions in Sentosa and the Casinos in Marina areas. In one or two years time, they will be left with no jobs. Where to put them ?
Top popular developers and construction companies are now in North Vietnam working on the proposed joint Vietnam Singapore Industrial Parks. The 4th Park on the drawing board are as big as Bedok and Marine Parade combined ( Singapore Style ). Others are building resort township in Ho Chi Minh City ( South Vietnam ). Maybe just throw our workers there ??
But Singaporeans are more concerned with our own spaces. Each one of us are entitled to how many square feet of moving spaces ??
