IS having a population of 6.5 Million people in Singapore a good idea

So do you think it's a good idea?

1. Lack of space - now we have to stay in HDB with at least 16 storey high. with the increased population, we can expect to see 20 or 30 floor HDB building in the future

2. jobs - with the increased population, we need to create more jobs. So are we having enough jobs in the near future? In manufacturing MMC now, we are seeing more and more china gals replacing aunties as Operators. Just recently, some MMC are hiring China guys as maintenance hence threaten the jobs of Local engineering diploma holder.

Overall, china operators are getting low pay(500+- SG dollar per month) compared to malaysian/singapore operator.
as for maintenance side, they are hiring china guy(500+- SG dollar per month). Based on the average salary  for Fresh grads from poly (1700+- SG dollar), the company can hire 3 china guys  using a fresh diploma holder.

Those China-men are assistant engineers? or just purely workers?
