Very soon, even our Ministers are "imported luxury goods" Really, the govt should provide q quota for different industries, if not Sinkies would end up sweeping floors very soon. I have great concerns for the diploma-holders

As it is of today......during peak hours at City Hall MRT station, Raffles Place, there is hardly any standing place inside trains. ( When we talk about this problem, the authorities, who don't take trains at all, compare our situation to that of Japan ) and said " we fair much better.

For those of us who are taking North East Line regularly, can you recall the situation ( before and after VIVO City opens ?) Before VIVO City opens, the North East Line was never packed. After opening VIVO CITY , trains were already fully loaded when it starts from HARBOUR FRONT terminal station.

In this case, we are only talking about the increase in shoppers by estimates, few thousands a day ? ...what will happen if there is an additional 2 million ? Sometimes we wander if people in control are talking rot. head banging

think of this 6.5 million people each pay min. one time of 7% gst if they spend just one time of S$10 in just 1 day...
for much the gov will get from this gst....
fyi: new born and dead still pay GST, but of course through their next kin.

not only space but water, electricity, food and many other essentials need will also need to cater for this 6.5 mil.
s'pore do not have any natural resources and we depend on the other countries for it...
