I heard the next 'idea' is to charge $$$ the moment cars move.
Something like the GPS thing, and there will be no physical gantries...
Gantries are added or removed only by just a few mouse clicks.
That day comes, I will sell my car!!!!

Yah ! It's like taking taxi already ! At least taking taxi no need to pay parking and road taxes.

maybe they will lower parking and road tax

Speaking at a conference on intelligent transportation systems (ITS), Senior Minister of State Khaw Boon Wan said the Transport Ministry will look into using technology to improve the traffic management system.

He said to improve traffic management hor...........I've never realised all this while that they are extorting money.

Talking so much, can we introduce the 'Elites' to fly helicopters (like Donald Trump in New York) in Singapore so that they wouldn't jam the roads in Singapore ?

Too many 'Elites' on the road nowadays...cannot tahan !

Today we have a population of 5 million. Out of the 5 million, 1 million are foreigners. Our total land area is only 700 sq. km. works out to a density of  7,142 people per sq.km. We are on top of the list as the world’s most densely populated country. Still Singapore hope to bring in another 1.5 million foreigners.

Comparatively, UK, US, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Australia, Japan to name a few, their population density range from 3 person per sq. km. to 490.

The authorities are worried, if we don't bring in more foreigners our economy will come to a standstill, particularly in those areas where it is difficult to get Singaporeans to work "

Huh? When will we stop and where are we heading to ? Building 40 storey high HDB flats will only solve housing problems. Do we have enough land spaces for them to move around ?
