Something is seriously wrong..........

The transport chief, on TV claimed taxi-drivers are now making more money. Interviews by TV reporters and ST reporters on most taxi stands show just the reverse. Taxi-drivers are making a lost, they even challenge those who claimed taxi drivers are making now, try driving one to see for themselves.

Whats happening ? oops oops Who to trust ??

The festive season are slowly fading away. Taxi drivers should be able to tell whether they are actually making more or making less. If they are making less inspite of the surge in demand for taxi services during the Lunar New Year, then something is seriously wrong.

Do the increase in meter fares and the various surcharges really backfire forcing the drivers to give up driving taxis ? So far there is still no news. Temporarily blackout.  Huh? Huh?

Today, whether the taxi-drivers are making or losing after price increases, the authorities, the cab companies and drivers are not discussing any more.  oops Now they are shifting their attention to CBD Taxi stands.

Actually taking a cab is meant for convenience, otherwise we might as well took a bus. In our heartland, when ever we need to take a bus, we have to walk and walk to go to the nearest bus stop. This happens donkey years ago, ever since bus service started in Singapore in the fifties. Today no change.

Now in 2008, LTA suddenly wake up and think the CDB should have stops like the heartland. So instead of bus stops, they come out with TAXI STOPS. What a joke.  Huh? Huh? Now passengers are complaining, drivers are complaining, if the authorities scrap the idea after spending millions constructing TAXI STOPS, they have " NO FACE " , leave it alone.......wow plenty problems. Frankly LTA should stand for .... LEARN TO ASSUME........it's OK Roll Eyes Grin.
