Workers at Punggol Residences are very busy working on facades of most Blocks, smoothening rough surfaces.

In fact, painting of Block 271B is already in progress. Other Blocks should follow as soon as the surfaces are ready for paint work. Punggol Residences are doubling up now as most neighbouring BTO's are gradually handling over keys to prospective buyers and are undergoing renovation work.

When paint work and touching -up of rough surfaces gathers momentum, hanging / suspended gondolas should be up in most Blocks. The next stage will be the erection of vertical elevators.

All the Blocks at Punggol Residences had their roof-top water-tanks installed. Hanging gondolas
were suspended on most Buildings at work on touching up rough wall surfaces and painting.

Procedure on wall touch-ups :

1. Installation of gondolas on roof-tops.

2. An inspection team made up of representatives from HDB, the building contractor and supervisors will inspect the walls to be painted.

3. Rough surfaces need to be sand down, touch-up, re-plaster will be marked, in this case in red.

4. Once it's done, a team of workers will sand down rough surfaces with portable electrical sanding machine from the roof-top right down to first floor.

5. Some badly damaged surfaces may need grouting or replastering.
