Fire hazards is caused by people throwing their things at public places, or people who do not spare a thought for others. I always see dumped goods on ground floor life landings. There are residents staying just nearby, near the lifts. If items are big, and cannot fit the chute, fair enough. Don't know where to throw. But I also see small items being dumped there on the ground next to the big friendly green dustbin. If its too big, shred it to smaller pieces if you can and throw it down the chute or into the bin.

Junk is a potential fire hazard, and there are plants nearby, potential for catching fire and spreading it too. Well, spare a thought for others and maybe you can spare a life.
