How "far" can a MP help?

Yeah I do agree with aimnfire. If you don't mind me saying, some people here complain too much and expect everyone to drop everything and attend to them.

Totally agree  thats why I started the thread on GOOD AND POSITIVE things about Punggol. Well in my humble opinion, if there are so many things you dont like about living in Punggol then perhaps you shouldnt live here? I mean, instead of spending energy to complain, why not use the time to appreciate what we have here?

hopefully somebody took notice and sit up

Yeah, you got that right..... we should try and stop looking at the bad and see the good. We should be thankful for the peace and quiet. We should be thankful for how much cleaner our estate is compared to others. We should be thankful for the rooftop gardens which some of the older estates envy us for. We should be thankful for the wide open spaces we have now.... and most of all, we should be thankful for the wonderful people who made this forum what it is now......  please add if I have missed out anything.. LoL

Personally, I don't agree that we should not complain. I mean, the MP is elected to serve the people right? So if she is not effective, then we should complain! 

But during the street parade the other day, my friend who lives in the west told me ... 'wah! you all damn solid, got your own street parade, horse riding club etc etc'... It made me feel quite happy cos our area really quite unique. I used to live in central western part of Singapore... things never change for years wan.

I suppose no one is perfect - no MP can serve everyone to 100% satisfaction. Wah lao, I one woman also cannot keep fully happy, don't say thousands of people!! Important thing is... does Penny have the commitment for us or not?... So far I see her track record, not bad..  she seem to really put her heart into doing things for people. I think I can live with that lah...
