Folks, ... I personally (I repeat, personally) feel its quite pathetic that we have endless complaints, even about the elderly folks who are actively trying to find something here to do. Yes their music may be loud but cant we be more accomodating? How about the times that perhaps your child cried non stop or if that your pet barked throughout the night and could possibly had disturbed the neighbours as well? Why is it that we cant have the kampung way of living like some of you have mentioned? Thats because we dont really have the spirit to start with...

just to clarify my stand abt the exercise folks creating a din...

like i've mentioned at the outset in my first posting, i'm NOT AGAINST these pple exercising or socialising, whatever... & I'm not even suggesting that they go elsewhere! All they need to do is just turn the volume down a notch or two & it'll be a lot more bearable. I don't know if u live on the lower levels, but if u do, u'll know how it is like. If these pple - not all of whom are old folks; many are housewives - do hv the "kampung spirit", then I believe they'd also show some consideration for those living around them. Likewise, everyone else should be considerate towards others - if this can be achieved at all...

Despite the gripe, this town still has its merits, like what u said. Wdn't hv chosen to live here otherwise.

Dont worry ...is ok we know wat u trying to say. Soon everything will be ok de ....and living in punggol will be a joy

Oh yes!!!! I cannot agree more with you that Punggol is a great place to live in!!!! It's fabulous.. My husband & I have lived here for 2 years and when we first moved here, we woke up to the chirps of birds that flew ard the garden in our cluster; avoided stepping on the creepy crawlies on the garden paths.  I really enjoyed the walks in the "mini" garden.  I just luv the ambience in Punggol... the scerenity, quietness! I chose Punggol coz it's the closest to an outback life in Singapore I can find... Can's imagine moving smplace else...

I am a little concerned with the new clusters coming up and the fading greenery by the first exit off the TPE (from the direction of the SLE) into Punggol... I hope they don't turn Punggol into some city hub... I like it the way it is that's why I chose to live here..  However, it would be great if they incorporate some park life like the proposed marina... keep the greeny with fitness & BBQ facilities for family activities, fun and laughter.

And I must add, the pple here smile at you and give you a nod of the head even though they don't know you.. They tend to be friendlier.. so let's build Punggol to be a homely, happy & friendly environment.  We can do it if we all work together towards it.

Cheers!
