Accordine to reports in parliament, the authorities are going to announce new measures to promote birth rate by next month. They are ( 1 ) to help singles socialise and hook up. ( 2 ) to give better financial support for parents. ( 3 ) To have a better work-life balance in work places. ( 4 ) to provide viable child care options.

After saying all those............it cautioned.............If we are to offer the same generous levels of social subsides as in the Nordic countries, we will have to raise our taxes significantly.

At the same time they are also aware and afraid that well educated Singaporeans may leave and businesses shifted.  Whatever it is , since the subject is to have more local babies, there may be some goodies on the way.  chitchat

With cost of living going up and up, everyone needs to work longer hours to keep their job.
With more and more ERP gantires and higher rates, who wants to go home early?
Is there time for making love? Let alone about making babies.
In some research, Sg ranked one of the lowest sex rates.
Prices of almost everything is on the rise, what about milk powder, baby napkins, clothings, medical fees, educational fees, childcare expenses, etc etc... ??
They can say whatever they like, give whatever they want...
But I will just remember the doctrine of 'Give one drumstick, take back a whole chicken.."
Already been proven for so many years.... At least every 4 alternate years.
