This is a video clip taken from the Pier Walkway leading to the latest addition of Resort Chalets / Bungalows now under construction. The time is exactly 7.00 AM in the morning where the sun starts to appear from the distance horizon.

About 20 years ago, Kukup was only a small fishing village. Most houses was with zinc roof standing on top of Bakau wooden piles.

Today Kukup is different. Most houses were torn down, rebuilt with bricks and mortar sitting on reinforced concrete structures above sea-level.

Some of the houses are used as chalets for rental to tourists, mainly from Singapore.

A trip to Kukup from Singapore cost about S$90/- by mini-bus. The package comes with 2 breakfast, 2 lunch and a seafood dinner with 1 night stay.
