what's the mood & weather like during Christmas period?

The weather is like Singapore. Christmas mood also more or less similar. In District 1 ( tourist and business district ) are swarm with americans, French, Korean. The mood is like Orchard Road. The only difference is we can walk into any hotel, sit at the lounge, have a drink and we only pay a fraction of a price compare to Singapore. Hospitality and service is great. In the next few years I think we may not be able to enjoy this privilege because Ho Chi Minh is catching up very rapidly.

Hi all,
I'm new here,hope i am welcome waving
Happen to see this thread abt Ho Chi Minh City, therefore would like to share the info that i had to u.

I had jus came back from my 4days 3nights trip to vietnam,HCM..
Is a great place to go..
The hotel i am staying is located at district 3,name of hotel is known as
Saigon star hotel.
The hotel is not bad i could say.
I paid for $499 for this hotel as well as flying there by SQ.
Most importantly if u were to go there,do remember to grab a map from a place jus opp Rex hotel at district one.

The name is known as Tourist information center.
Log on to www.vntourists.com

This place is actually for currency exchange, and they do provide maps there.
Highly recommdend..
They accept sing dollar and US dollar, but the exchange rate for sing dollar is not very gd.Is best that u change to Us dollar in singapore first b4 u proceed to this place in vietnam to change into Dong.

The vietnamese there are very friendly.I get to know 2 of them, and is keeping in contact with them.
If u are interested in getting bags,do let me know,i can recommdend u the shop where i get to know the manager there. Her bag store sells lot of nice and unqiue bags.

I'll be glad to share with all the info i had gained fr this trip.
Overall,i do enjoy my trip there,is worth going..

Do log on to the below link to take alook of the photos that i took during my short trip to HCM.
