Anyone had tried the Plaza Hotel in Kuala Lumpur?

Hi,

Anyone had tried the Plaza Hotel in KL before?  It is a good for value hotel for tourists or it is a lousy hotel with lousy facilities?

Another thing it is true that we had to place a deposit at the reception when we check into the hotel on the first day?
