kalbarri: rivervale? thank you. me still newbie in this town, i'm going to check it out! that's what i want, somewhere close then can cycle home. They selling low end bicycles? How do you choose "wisely" anyway? Honestly, I don't even know how to choose. I'm just going to look for a suitable frame and tires.
Alaska: Really? Backside pain? That was what I was planning to do iniitially. Looks like I have to buy a seat with extra cushion!
Are you a lady or man? If lady, can I recommend you choose the 'lady's' frame. The top tube is sloped. Easy for ladies to dismount if wearing skirt. Try a more upright position, that's to protect your modesty while cycling...As for suspension...choose wisely. Cheap ones spoil easily. Good ones X. If you think your butt will hurt, change the seats to the good old spring suspension. They're wider and covered with cushion. Typical MTB seats are slim, so it's easy for riders to mount and dismount from their bikes. If you don't intend to cycle off-road, get tires that are less knobbly. More knobs, more friction, slows down bike=more energy wasted while cycling. Hope I don't confuse you. Cheers!
