kalbarri: rivervale? thank you. me still newbie in this town,  i'm going to check it out! that's what i want, somewhere close then can cycle home. They selling low end bicycles?  How do you choose "wisely" anyway?  Honestly, I don't even know how to choose.  I'm just going to look for a suitable frame and tires.

Alaska: Really? Backside pain? That was what I was planning to do iniitially.  Looks like I have to buy a seat with extra cushion!   Tongue

There's a type of addon 'gel' cushion for bicycle seat. IRRC is abt $18.
For normal daily usage, mountain bike is abt $80 to $200. Most are made from Steel, pretty heavy.
Alu bikes(lighter in weight) are more expensive. Than there're Carbon & Titanium bike. Top of the range liao. All are in the 4-digit figure.

Just remember to get a battery-operated backlight for safe riding.
