I have just bought a new hard disk and would like to copy my OS and files over from the old hard disk. Too lazy to reinstall everything all over again. I tried to do cloning using Norton Ghost, but the new hard disk refuses to boot up to Windows.

Anyone care to enlighten?

Thanks.

Are you able to boot up using the new HDD at all? Is the hardware setting of the new HDD done correctly?

I didn't know that is possible. Ghost only clones files. Not window operating system. you would need the Window OS installation disk.
After you install the OS on the new drive, then use Ghost to bring all the files over.
Correct me if I am wrong. smoking
