Food from the Heart (FFTH) started with the bread collection scheme in February 2003, and has been channeling unsold bread from bakeries and hotels to welfare organisations, needy families and individuals since then.
I was a volunteer with them before my wife was expecting my boy, as i am not able to meet the bakery closing time.
Bascially, FFTH will appoint you to a route nearby your place (mine was from Rivervale Plaza to The Hiding Place(Jalan Kayu))
Our role is to collect unsold bread from the bakery to Welfare Homes/Organisation.
We each are responsible for 1-2 days of the week (Fix Day) to do the delivery, thus asking around, who is from this organisation cos we should be staying nearby to be on this route.
