Not sure about the gyms in our vicinity but you can try California. My bf & I are with Cali (Novena Square) and the service / facilities are great! Maybe it's rather new, that's why. They are open 365 days. This CNY, they will open from 8am to 10pm on both 7th & 8th Feb (1st & 2nd day).

i've oso seen the 7-day free trial. is it possible for me to head straight to the branch and start my free trial on the exact day?

Hi,

I'm not sure about the per entry charges as my membership package comes as part of our company's staff welfare. Of course, I had to top up the difference in fees.

I believe Cali's promoting membership packages rather than per entry although I've heard of people who pay below $100 for their monthly fees. The catch is that they can only use the facilities twice a week.

Some friends have also complained of hard-sell tactics at certain branches, so you have to be very firm what you want and what you don't want. So far, my experience with Novena Square has been good but I've heard that Orchard is way too crowded. You might want to avoid that branch.
