if it is suppose for donation why held in 6-star hotel?

The Ritz is known for it's prestige so to price a dinner ticket at $1000, people might be more willing to pay then if you held a dinner at the smaller hotel at the same price. After deducting dinner costs of approx. $200-300 per person, you can still get $700 profit. But putting that aside, what I wanted to highlight is that alot schools have to source for funds if they want the best facilities or resources for their students over and above what is allocated to them. Mee Toh and Edgefield are both new schools here in Punggol, however, Mee Toh has a track record in Race Course Rd. Although the enrolment may have fallen , it could be due to the surrounding factors like matured estate and there is not enough young families there. I think both primary schools are equally good so the lady who wanted to know which school to put her child in needs to go down to both schools and have a chat with the principal if possible to get a general overview of the direction of each school or attend their Open Houses.
