As a thread starter should be prepared whether her/his opinions are being agreed or disagreed by other forumers. What's the fuss about?

War zone? by all means.....

I agree! If you dare to start a thread, be prepared for all kinds of reactions to it.

Plsrelax, what you said about MMI was very one-sided. You kept blaming the school and the teachers. Nobody forced you to join them in the first place. You must have enquired with them, visited the place, liked it enough to enrol. A year later, you turned the tables and started bad-mouthing them on a forum. How about someone bad-mouthing your company or your job? By the way, I don't work in MMI.

Alaska has a point. The problem doesn't lie with the school. How did your child become a picky eater? You had the crucial first few years weaning him off milk and onto solids. Parents are a child's first teachers. If you did not reinforce at home, how are the teachers going to engage in a meal time tug-of-war at school?

Video filming during concert performance? Come on, think!!! Would you like people to mill around the stage taking photographs when you're watching a play or concert? It is rude and inconsiderate. Besides, the flashes of cameras in a dark hall will distract children while they are performing. This can pose safety issues. Have you thought of that? Don't keep thinking that MMI is out to make money from you by selling you recorded video. I know that childcare centres usually engage a professional videographer to tape the entire event and sell to parents. These videos are usually optional too. Don't want to spend, don't buy it then.

HFMD is everywhere. It is not important whether a childcare centre has HFMD outbreak. It is HOW THEY HANDLE the outbreak and maintain a high level of hygiene that's important.

By the way, do you even know what the Montessori curriculum is about? Granted that Singapore has no 'pure' Montessori centre as founded by Maria Montessori in the late 19th century, most schools with 'Montessori' attempt to follow some or part of her methodology. It generally believes in 'self-directed learning' and children taking charge of their own learning activity and pace. Teachers only act as 'facilitators', not instructors. And because children learn through discovery, didactic materials that are self-correcting are used as much as possible.

All I can say is, not happy with the school? Provide feedback to them. Help them improve. Not bad-mouth them in a forum without giving them a chance to make their stand. Have you thought of how unfair your thread is to the other children and parents of MMI who might be happy with their service?

The thread starter is not a genuine person who really put her/his child in MMI. All are untruthful allegations.

I am happy with MMI service. The education starts from home. I have the responsibility to bring up my children, not the school.
