By now we all should know that our banks' savings deposit interest rates has gone down again recently and if you are thinking of saving up for your kids future education using it, its definitely not the best approach forward.
With kids' education fees rising being a trend, why not take up an endowment plan for them so that it will not be too large a strain on the family finance when they pursue tertiary education.
Fact: Bank/CPF loans can cover part of the fees but students must still pay up the remaining fees every semester. So it will be a sum of money every 6 months.

Right now cost of 3 year tertiary education in Singapore is $53,396.
In 10 year's time, it will cost $75,320.
In 15 year's time, it will cost $89,457.
In 20 year's time, it will cost $106,247.
The above figures include living expenses and for non-medical degree courses.
