try playing classical music to them before they start learning and pick up languages... they are more sensitive then....or as early as when you yourselves get pregnant. The most important thing is actually during the pregnancy period...the positive and kind thoughts developed then are very influential to the unborn.

seem like babies who grow up with music are happy and secured babies...and with those positive emotions, they can learn things very fast..we dun have to worry for them whatever languages really.

it is very true that from 1-3 years, it is the feeding year, just feed them with as much as their brain can take in and most important LOVE really.....a kid who feel loved will have OPEN MIND to accept lots more things....

good lucks to all "child raisers"~~~ cheers

You can teach babies as young as in the tummy any language; eventhough you may not know how to speak the language yourself!
How in the world are there thousands of different languages???
Place an Ang Mo baby in India, he will learn the language too rite?
My lecturer once told me of this Chinese couple from China who came to Singapore years back not knowing to speak a single english word... let their baby listen to BBC in her crib. Guess what! Now she's speaking LONDON okie!!!

haaa..yeah...ya most important is at the 1-3years age...really! any older...quite very hard esp when the mind and heart already "get used".....

i remeber my father feeding me with loads of BBC news every morning from i am as young as p1 till p6 but i think it is too late for him to do so...as the voices from the BBC start causing nightmares in me every morning instead of moulding me into a perfect English speaker...haaaaaaaa ....... Grin Grin Grin

feed from the cradle time...........Wink thumbs up
