hi ljpflee,

Thanks for yr feedback. Is yr child currently in this school ?
Not much concern, just that surprised to see the cost of the studying materials and worksheet are excluded fm the term fees.
Another thing is that, we need to supply our own tissue box and label our child's name because due to hygiene reason they don't allow child to bring own towel. But if they emphasize on hygiene, they still allow wearing shoes walking inside the premises of school (where the child has to sit on the floor for lessons, assembly area, etc) Hence,is kind of contradict, and we need to pay an amt on hygiene too.
This is the first time I saw school allows to wear shoes inside the premises. What if raining ? Isn't the floor will be wet and slippery maybe dangerous for the kids to walk or running about.

Hi Sohia,

From what I understand, most kindgeratens allow their children shoes indoors. Of course, there are exceptions but just sharing my observations.

As Kindergartens do not have routine care like showering and napping, children do not have to be bare-footed indoors. This also takes away the provision of shoe cubby at the entrance. In addition, most of these programmes are 3 or 4 hours and there are a lot of students (up to 3 sessions a day), so having shoes on makes practical sense. Children do not linger over taking-off, putting-on or having shoes mistakenly worn home by someone else.

Yes, rainy days can indeed pose a challenge. But as long as the school personnel take due steps to place a rug at the entrance and ensure hygiene / safety of the children, I think it is good enough.

Yes, I agree and I've seen most kindergartens have their shoes on.

Normal children are sitting on the chair not on the floor. You see those children sitting on the floor, most probably hyperactive or autistic children who are having difficulty in learning and not following what normal children do.
