If I remember correctly, it should be about a year old. Bring him to the supermarket to choose the flavour of the toothpaste he likes. Make it exciting. I'm sure he can't wait to try it once he's back at home.

i was thinking of letting him play wif the toothbrush before i start brushing it for him.
Guess i've to bring him to choose a toothbrush for himself and start all over again.

Maybe you can choose a very soft toothbrush, those for early stage use and brush her teeth occasionally, just to let her get use to the idea of brushing? It can get quite challenging for toddlers to switch to brushing. Like what some mummies suggested, I agree that you should brush her teeth instead of her doing it herself at such young age, to ensure the teeth is properly cleaned.
