Take a look at this ingenious innovation addition. A cleverly thought off ramp for wheel chair making use of a century year old quadrant / extrusion.

Old Colonial staircase railings unlike modern railings make used of precast concrete balustrades. Some balustrades even received special ceramic coatings.

The two pictures below show the original entrance staircase. ( more than a hundred years old ).
