When two pitch roof sheetings meet, a valley has to be fixed for rain water to flow to the gutter.

Look at the detailed construction of the roof at Matilda House. First the roof structures, second the wire nettings, third the building / roofing papers, fourth the corrugated roofing sheets and finally the laying of Terra Cotta tiles over the roofing sheets.  thumbs up
