Same here, would have gotten the LCD TV if the price (3 yrs ago) was as cheap as today.

Using a 42" Plasma now.
My old Samsung Plasma broke down last Dec after 1yr+, luckily bought the Harvey Norman 2yr extended warranty. Repair would've cost me $3k for the screen replacement.  Grin
was given(by HN) the option to proceed with the repair, where HN foot the bill OR opt for a new set worth $3k. I chose to get a new set, which is a LG. c/w 2yr agent warranty + I bought another 3yr extended warranty, = 5yr!! Mahahaha.....

*better to get an extended warranty for any flat panel TV set.
