The transport companies in Singapore are challenging each other as to who makes the most money, surely not who gives the best, prompt and most efficient services. ( what a sad story )

" Transport operator SMRT is on the way to matching bigger player Comfort-DelGro in PROFITS ", shouted the press.

In this tiny red dot of ours, everybody wants to make money and nothing else. Who suffers ? Singaporean.

First half ended September 30 SMRT posted a 21.9 % rise in net earnings after tax $101 million.

Buses operating profits : $3.05 million.

Cabs posted : 1.89 million. ( The sad case is, taxis drivers claimed they are making much less today ).

What to do ? Grin
